About this treasure
After a year of distress for almost everyone, my very humble wish, and also a very simple one for everyone will be: "May your plate be full, and your stomach never be empty."
Flowers are believed to be pansies, one of my favourites besides peonies and hydrangeas. Everything was painted in great details, even the gold scroll work around the plate is still as wonderful as it was first painted.
If this is your first antique treasure, we'd no doubt say, what great taste you have!
- Plate is 20.6cm / 8 1/8" in ⌀
R. C. Malmaison Bavaria
Country of origin
1898 - 1906
An antique market in Calgary, Canada
Shows signs of wear as expected for something this old. (Just like you won't be expecting your centenarian granny without any wrinkles or age spots on her face!) Flowers were painted in great details. Gold paint work is still lovely and vibrant. We would be grateful if you can still find it useable but it is also a wonderful piece to display at your home. Give it the gentle love it deserves and it will keep delighting you and your family for more years to come!
